Why Are 'Classical Music' and 'Music Theory' Racist?

For more than one hundred years some concepts of what is called "music theory" and the term "classical music" are becoming less appropriate to define what they really are. The term 'Classic' actually refers to a specific period and region, with specific style and musical rules. However, until this day artists and styles from different periods and regions are thrown under the same umbrella. The same goes with the term "music theory". It also relates to something very specific in the common sense view: a specific way of describing, analyzing and writing music. But also it fails to embrace many other music genres and styles. In despite of that, it still is the main access to academia and many working opportunities in the field of music, mostly in the western societies. Why is that? This live stream is our way to go deep into those issues, and to raise other questions.
